Let me introduce you to Anguilla. It's very close to St Maarten and that works to your advantage. One can fly directly into Anguilla via San Juan. However, the air fares tend to lean on the expensive side when compared to other Caribbean destinations. However, fly into St Maarten; usually about 300-400 less, and take the short 20 minute ferry ride over to Anguilla. Your savings will go a long way for lodging or food/activities. Anguilla has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Shoal Bay is voted one of the 10 best and has a 2 mile stretch of white powdery sand. The island is very quiet with beautiful accommodations and dining options. Looking for that off the beaten path island destination? Anguilla will surpass your expectations.
